The Chase Sapphire Reserve: What You Need to Know

Updated: Jan 13, 2020

If you're looking for a quick analysis and breakdown of the perks of another awesome starter card, here it is!

The Sapphire Reserve is a great starter card because of it's travel credits and extra perks. It's a little more expensive to start with than the Sapphire Preferred, but has it's benefits as well. Here are some quick points you should look at when deciding on whether or not this card is right for you.

Now that you've looked at the basics, you should also think about what kind of insurance and protection your card provides. If you travel a lot, you're bound to run into some issues. Missed flights, lost luggage, and rental car problems are just the beginning. Luckily, this awesome travel card also covers you in those areas and more!

Using these details, you can begin to look at this card and decide if it's right for you. The Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Preferred are both really good Chase cards to start with. There are a few differences between the two that will help you decide which you should choose (because you can't have both at the same time, but you can get around that if you really want by applying for one and having your spouse apply for the other). If you need help deciding, you can also head over to my breakdown on the Sapphire Preferred to learn more about the perks it can provide!

If you're still unsure about travel points you can click here to read more about what they are, and here to read our Beginner's Guide on how to get started. If you want to learn more about the Sapphire Preferred, click here and head over to check it out!
